Product Identification number won't work (cleared up other post)
Hi my product key does not work either, it's from a CD Office 2007 Home/Student version that I just bought. I have tried the three series of number on the label! I've tried 4 times, changed 8's to B's and back and used a magnafying glass to make sure I got it right. It won't accent my key...what's wrong with it???

For example, a WinXP Home OEM Product Key won't work for any retail version of WinXP Home, or for any version of WinXP Pro, and vice versa. I used my friends windows xp full installation (not upgrade) cd and his reg code. I cant use my reg code with his cd for some reason says invalid reg key.

Cosmin That would be my guess too. I'm not sure what M$ would think with using a OEM license with another version but what they don't know won't hurt them. (not-for-resale) And about half a dozen other "types" of softare all have unique product keys that won't work with the files from any of the other "types".

They ask for the Product Key (Key Code). I found 25 numbers/letters on the COA on my computer but, for some reason it fits in the code boxes but is not accepted. office xp product key don't work
Everything loaded fine, but now it's asking for my Product Key. The Product ID I have is like this: xxxxx-OEM-xxxxxxx-xxxxx, or 5digits-OEM-7digits-5digits. The program is looking for five sets of 5 digits, and no matter how I try and type my code in, it's not good enough. Is this not the right key?

If you are already activated, a dialog box saying so will appear. If you are not activated, the Activation Wizard will start. They will probably charge you a small fee plus shipping/handling. This may not work. Your friend has to have the same version as you for the keys to work: an OEM key won't work with a retail CD; an upgrade CD won't work with a full product (non-upgrade) key; the VLK won't work with the retail CD...you get the idea.
